What to Eat to Stay Healthy during Coronavirus

Many clients are asking what foods may protect them from the Coronavirus.  

Although no one food can prevent the coronavirus, or the common cold (a form of coronavirus) or the flu, you CAN eat healthy foods to keep your immune system strong and healthy, and this will help protect you from getting sick!

  • EAT COLORFUL FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

    • Wash thoroughly, and eat at least 5 SERVINGS DAILY for immune-boosting effects.

  • EAT MORE ZINC-CONTAINING FOODS

    • Oysters, red meat, poultry, chickpeas, lentils, hemp seeds, cashews, almonds, whole-grains, milk products, ready-to-eat breakfast cereals

    • Pay attention to dosing if taking Zinc supplements because too many can have negative side effects.

  • LIMIT PROCESSED FOODS 

    • Gut bacteria that love processed sugars are NOT as immune-boosting as the gut bacteria that love high-fiber foods. So eat the healthy stuff!
